The campaign for annual election of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) is now in full swing in this export oriented city and hub of cottage industry. The election of Corporate class will be held on September 4th while polling of Associate class will be held on September 5th. Ittehad Founders Group and Democratic Founders Group were taking active part in elections of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). The candidates of both the groups had filed their nomination papers for contesting Corporate Class and Associate Class elections. Necessary arrangements for holding elections of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry had been finalized.
Meanwhile, leader of Democratic Founders Group Sohail Khawar Mir while talking media on Sunday said that we are contesting SCCI election for bringing radical change in the chamber's affair and to vanish the monopoly of one group.
We are contesting SCCI election's on our 16 point manifesto for ensuring positive change in the functioning of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry he said.
Mir further stated that if we came into power will focus our attention on encouraging and promotion of young businessmen and ensure their participation in international and domestic trade fairs and exhibitions. Special efforts would be made for resolving the rebate cases at earliest possible to facilitate the small businessmen and holding neutral audit of SCCI accounts he added.Special efforts would be made for activating Export Processing Zone and Sialkot Tannery Zone in a proper way while adequate steps would also be taken for improving the services to facilitate the members of the Chamber.
