Pak vs SA: Men in Green eye to salvage pride in final outing against Proteas

The ongoing tour of South Africa has been a horrid affair for the visiting Pakistan, as the Asian side lost to the hosts in all three formats including the T20Is, which hurts deeper as Pakistan is the number one ranked T20I side.

However, with the series already lost 2-0, Pakistan would look to salvage its honor in the third and final T20I also the final match of the tour tonight at Centurion, as the Men in Green surely don’t want to suffer from another whitewash, especially in a format they ruled for almost a year.

Coming to the T20I series that has been a story of unexpected errors for Pakistan who were without their regular skipper Sarfraz Ahmed, as in the first two T20Is it was their bowling line that emerged as the major culprit behind the team’s failure, which is something to ponder on very seriously with the World Cup just around the corner.

The bowling battery failed on multiple fronts, as they were neither able to take wickets, nor able to restrict the flow of runs as South African batsmen scored freely putting up daunting targets on the board.

Whereas, the Men in Green batting line despite putting a decent show in the series has its own problems, as except for Babar Azam other batsmen seemed reluctant to go big against the Proteas bowling, that lead Pakistan to slip away the game in the final sessions.
