ANP's President Asfandyar Wali Khan on Tuesday said that Kashmir is internationally recognised dispute and India cannot change it's status, saying India would have to revisit its policy regarding Kashmir. In his reaction to the current situation in Kashir and one sided decision of India over Kashmir issue, he said that according to the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOC) is disputed area.
He said that since the very inception, ANP is of the stance that Kashmir issue should be resolved as per resolutions of the United Nations and aspirations of Kashmiris. He said that right of self determination was basic right of a nation and Kashmir people cannot be deprived of their rights.
Asfandyar Wali also urged international community, United Nations and Security Council and international human rights organizations and all those forces in believing in the right of self-determination to pressurize India to withdraw here controversial decisions and pave way for the resolution of the dispute.
