Punjab Governor Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar has described opposition's All Parties Conference (APC) as "All Parties Maal Bachao conference". He said this during a meeting with Vice Chairman of CM Complaint Cell Nasir Suleiman, Vice Chairman Overseas Commission Chaudhary Waseem Ramay and a member of PTI Awais Younas here on Saturday.
"The government and the people are on the same page. They will fail collectively to conspire against economic prosperity and political stability of this country. The incumbent government is strictly acting upon the policy of 'accountability for all' and is staunchly committed to wipe out oppression, injustice and corruption from this land," he added.
Sarwar observed that whenever the opposition is asked of accountability, they start giving threats of launching protests to deviate the attention of the people. "Let me assure the people of Pakistan, the accountability movement launched by the PTI will not stop at the behest of these agitation threats. It will continue to curb and wipe out corrupt elements from this country, which has looted and plundered the wealth of our nation. The PTI will make 'Naya Pakistan' as was envisioned by the founding fathers of our motherland," he added.
Referring to Prime Minister Imran Khan's message to the Indian Prime Minister, he said that Prime Minister Imran Khan's message of peace towards India manifests Pakistan's wish to promote peace and stability in the region. "To make this region a peaceful and prosper region, it is up to India to take a step forward and negotiate with Pakistan on all outstanding issues between the two countries. We must endeavour to sort out our issue through negotiations. Wars and heated rhetoric's is not a solution to our problems, rather it will add more problems," he added.
According to him, Pakistan is being acknowledged globally for ending extremism and terrorism. Pakistan's foreign policy position on the global stage has improved our image. Pakistan wants stability in the region and hence it has offered talks to India to settle all outstanding disputes between the two neighbors. India should agree to settle the dispute of Kashmir in the light of the resolutions passed by UNSC (United nation security council). Peace and stability in the region is in the interest of everyone in this age of globally integrated market economy.
