Muhammad Zubair Motiwala, Chairman, Council of All Pakistan Textile Associations and Muhammad Jawed Bilwani, Central Chairman, Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers & Exporters Association and Saleem Parekh, President, SITE Association of Industry lauded the Chairman NAB on his statement that no businessmen would be summoned to NAB office in future.
They also appreciated Chairman NAB former Justice Javed Iqbal for establishing complaint cell in the Bureau and All Regional Offices whereby he had directed to address the complaints of the business community in 48 hours.
They added that the business community has warmly welcomed the statement of Chairman NAB stating that it will boost the morale of the business community which is making all out efforts to strengthen the economy even in the current difficult times amid multiple challenges and problems faced by the country. They do understand that industrialization and setting up the import substitution industry is crucial for the prosperity of the nation.
To revive the real confidence of the business community, they requested the Chairman NAB to also give directives and announce to withdraw all the notices / references and cases in the court against the members of the business community. They added that prominent members from the business community also serve on honorary positions in various government boards.
In some petty matters pertaining to Governmental Organizations / Departments, members of business community were involved in cases whereby they have no role or responsibility in any wrongdoing which had spread discontentment in the business community in the past. They further said that this announcement will go long way in bringing back the lost confidence of the business community.-PR
