Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has blamed the previous governments for the bad condition of the country's economy. In a statement, CM Buzdar said that projects for personal exhibition were installed by taking hefty loans which weakened the economy. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is leading the country towards right direction, he added.
He said that previous governments had emptied the national exchequer with their ineffective policies while PTI has provided resources for the welfare of the nation despite financial crisis.
The CM further claimed that a lot of amount was used for the advertisement and exhibition of Ramazan markets in the previous tenures whereas the incumbent government has saved this money. He said that illegal increase in prices of commodities will not be tolerated.
Moreover, the CM held a meeting with the families of girl students and a rickshaw driver who had died in a traffic accident on MM Road near Bhakkar. Families of injured girl students in the accident and families of victims of rainstorms and lightening also talked to the chief minister.
While the chief minister also held a meeting with the father of child M Habib who was murdered after being kidnapped in Kotla Jam. He shook hands with the families and expressed sympathise with them. He gave cheques worth Rs 5.4 million in total to the families. The families of the girl students who had died in the accident got cheque of Rs 0.5 million each. He gave compensation cheques to M Rafique and others. He said the government has taken responsibility for the treatment of the girl and this responsibility will discharged at any cost.
