The Senate Secretariat on Tuesday formally adopted the Communication and Outreach Strategy 2019 in a meeting chaired by Secretary Senate Amjed Pervez Malik. The strategy is an attempt to streamline the communication objectives of the Upper House of the Parliament with a special focus on enhancing the outreach and diplomacy role of the Senate.
The communications and outreach strategy has come into action as a result of extensive brainstorming sessions of Senate Secretariat with the project 'Consolidating Democracy in Pakistan CDIP-Tabeer' over a period of around eight months. The strategy is aimed at enhancing the communication practices of the Senate via conventional as well as unconventional media. The Senate through this experience will work on streamlining its presence on social media and develop media services charter.
