The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Relief and Rehabilitation Department has released development funds for the reconstruction of health, education and drinking water facilities in seven tribal districts. For Orakzai district, a fund of Rs 1.043 billion has been released out of which Rs 594.5 million have been released for the reconstruction of 36 schools. A total of 13 health facilities will be reconstructed for which Rs 280.5 million have been allocated. A total of 24 drinking water supply schemes will be started for which Rs 168.3 million have been allocated, said an official notification issued here.
For South Waziristan, a total of Rs 1.013 billion developmental funds has been released for 45 schools' reconstruction at the cost of Rs 245.7 million while 10 health centres will be constructed for which Rs 74.3 million has been allocated. It was added that a total of 190 drinking water supply schemes will be initiated for which Rs 464.3 million has been kept aside.
Rs 1.059 billion have been released for North Waziristan where 69 schools will be rehabilitated at the cost of Rs 346.5 million. Seventeen health facilities will be reconstructed for which Rs 110.1 million has been allocated. While for 32 drinking water supply schemes, a fund of Rs 297.6 million has been released. Besides this, 11 irrigation schemes will also be carried out at the cost of Rs 305.5 million.
Rupees 333 million was released for Bajaur where 22 schools will be reconstructed at the cost of Rs 171 million, while 10 health facilities will be rehabilitated at Rs 44.6 million. Reconstruction of 20 drinking water supply schemes will also be completed at the cost of Rs 117 million.
For Kurram district, Rs 1.105 billion was released for the reconstruction of 41 schools, 13 health facilities. Rs 495.3 million has been released for the reconstruction of 12 schools, 7 health facilities and 8 drinking water schemes in Mohmand District. For districts KP Rs 422.5 million released for the reconstruction of 14 schools, 1 health facility and 25 drinking water supply schemes.
