On the directives of the Chief Commissioner in Land Revenue, Regional Tax Officer (RTO) Peshawar, Qaiser Iqbal has expedited tax recovery drive and all legal means are being utilized for the recovery of the tax arrears.
In this connection arrest warrants for some defaulters have also been issued and the immovable properties of some defaulters have also been attached. Procedure for their confiscation and auction is being prepared to guarantee the recovery of tax arrears.
On the other hand, the Chief Commissioner in Land Revenue, Qaiser Iqbal has urged upon the tax defaulters to deposit the tax outstanding for national and their own interest.
He said that Pakistan is our country and we all are required to play role in bringing improvement in its economic conditions. He vowed that tax authorities will not show any leniency in the recovery of tax arrears. However, he said that their doors will be always opened for the resolution of their genuine problems.
