Industrial units directed to shift from residential areas

LAHORE: The Environment Protection Department of the city district government Lahore has directed 16 industrial units to shift from residential areas.

EPD sources told APP on Wednesday, the Department issued directions to 16 units working at Kharak under Punjab Local Government ordinance 2001 to shift their business to other places away from residential area.

The directions have been issued to the industrial units after the tragedy of medicine manufacturing unit at Kharak, Multan road in which 24 labourers lost their lives, they added.
