On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,692. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 10.228 billion and the number of lots traded 12,876. Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 5.369 billion, followed by gold PKR 1.828 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.349 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 982.451 million, DJ PKR 214.692 million, natural gas PKR 118.473 million, platinum PKR 109.662 million, silver PKR 91.318 million, SP500 PKR 63.389 million, copper PKR 53.713 million, Brent crude oil PKR 36.552 million and Japan Equity PKR 11.543 million.
In agriculture commodities 2 lots of cotton valued at PKR 1.030 million and 49,395 lots of red chilli amounting at PKR 13.816 million were traded.
