Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar has advised motorbike riders to use the exclusive lane allocated for them at the city's busy Shahra-e-Faisal. The mayor, inspecting the separate lane marked for motorcycle riders at Shahra-e-Faisal, said that the traffic police would impose heavy fine on violators of this rule. He said that in the initial phase, the separate lane was being made for bike riders from Metropole Hotel to Malir Halt and after successful experiment more important roads will also have this rule.
Wasim Akhtar called upon the motorcyclists to ensure using this lane and always wear helmet for their protection.
