HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Traffic police have booked more than 300 drivers and bike riders as part of its ongoing crackdown against violators of the traffic regulations.

The police spokesperson informed here on Friday that 322 vehicles and motorcycles had been fined for a range of violations of the rules.

He said the largest number of fine vehicles were motorbikes with some 219 riders booked for riding without helmets, breaking one-way roads and parking in no-parking zones.

About 28 rickshaws, 25 pickup vans, 23 cars, 9 mini trucks, 6 vans and 5 trucks, among other vehicles, were also fined during a daylong crackdown, the spokesperson added.
