ISLAMABAD: A one day national conference on `Saline Agriculture' will be held at the National Agriculture Research Center on Wednesday, February 15.
The conference is being organized by the Agriculture Foundation of Pakistan to discuss various issues related to nutrition management in salt affected soils.
Agriculture experts would discuss in detail various topics related to saline agriculture including mixed salinity management for rehabilitation of salt affected lands and sustainable use of saline land and saline ground water for plant production of NIAB experienced.
In addition, sustainable crop production, using brackish water in salt affected soils, agronomic practices for successful crop production in salt affected soils as well as induction of salt tolerance in rice through conventional breeding would also be discussed during the daylong moot.
