Police complaint filed against Salman Khan for hoisting Pakistani flag on Indian soil

Bollywood super star Salman Khan has landed in yet another controversy as a case has been filed against him for hoisting Pakistan flag in Indian region Punjab during his film's shooting.

The shoot of ‘Bharat’ had to be held at the Wagah border, but due to security reasons, the crew was not allowed to film at the location. Instead, the film-makers decided to shoot the replica version of the Wagah border at a village in Punjab and erected a set, which is similar to the Wagah border.

The filmmakers of 'Bharat' wanted both Indian  and Pakistani flags on the replica. For the scene, they required a Pakistani flag to be hoisted. The local farmers, traders and villagers were not ready for this.

According to Indian media reports, locals filed a police complaint against Salman and 'Bharat' filmmakers and even surrounded the sets and the hotel where the actor was staying.

Though the makers tried to pacify the situation but explaining that it’s just for a scene but they didn’t seem to take any kind of explanation. Reportedly, the film unit has now cancelled the film shoot in that region and has returned back to Mumbai.
