KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours, where two ships carrying containers were allotted berth at Qasim International Containers Terminal on Tuesday, Jan, 07.
Meanwhile four more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, cement and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 45% at the Port on Wednesday where total number of five ships namely MV. Maersk Kalamata, MV. Al-Sabha, Al Barella, MV. Coranado and MV. Bunga Allium are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, canola seeds and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 71,278 tonnes, comprising 42,802 tonnes imports and 28,476 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2157 containers (Boxes) was handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
Three ships MV. Maersk Kalamata, Al Sabhia and MV. Bunga Allium sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning.
