US Ambassador Alice Wells arrives in Pakistan
Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Ambassador Alice Wells, arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday for a day long visit.
During her visit, Wells will hold meetings with senior officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. FO Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal wrote on Twitter, "The aim would be to follow up on discussions between Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Secretary of State, Michael Pompeo with a view to further strengthen bilateral relations."
This meeting will be a follow up of the meeting held between the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo in October, he added. Spokesperson further said that the ambassador will also meet Finance Minister Asad Umar.
