Priyanka opens up about illness she’s dealing with since childhood

Priyanka Chopra has recently revealed, while promoting an ad campaign, that she is asthmatic since she was five year old.

The actress took to Twitter where she spoke about how asthma did not stop her from achieving the highs in her career. “Those who know me well know that I'm an asthmatic. I mean, what's to hide? I knew that I had to control my asthma before it controlled me," she tweeted.

"As long as I've got my inhaler, asthma can't stop me from achieving my goals and living a 'Berok Zindagi',” she added.

The Breath Free campaign was started by the actress, which helps promote inhalers for asthma patients over the use of tablets.

Priyanka is currently in United States with beau Nick Jonas. Soon, she will be seen with actor Farhan Akhtar in ‘The Sky is Pink’. The film, directed by Shonali Bose, is based on a true life story and will be shot in Mumbai, Delhi, London and the Andamans.
