Director General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Miss Rashida Ghaznavi has said that all arrangements have been given final touches to formally inaugurate the much awaited Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Games at Inter-District level in Bannu on Monday.
Talking to media on Sunday she said after the completion of the trials process of both male and female in different games including events like cricket, hockey, basketball, volleyball, squash, tennis, badminton, table tennis, boxing, athletic, gymnastic, judo, karate, taekwondo, football, formal inauguration of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Games would be made in the first phase in Bannu Region where players from Bannu and Tank will take part.
Out of these games the finalist teams of each event will represent Bannu in the Inter-Regional Games after completion of the Games at Inter-District level.
She disclosed that there will be different dates in each other regions where teams of the Districts would be involved, followed by events at Inter-Regional level.
In the first phase she said that the districts including with Bannu, Mardan and Kohat Regions Games would be organised for both male and female.
She disclosed that they have constituted various committees for the smooth sailing of these games. The opening and closing of the Games at Inter-Districts level would organised at Regional headquarters like Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Kohat, Mardan, Malakand, Abbottabad and Peshawar.
She said that it was ensured that no one would be left behind having talent of various games. Chances have been given to all the players at their door steps.
