Castigating the PML_N -led government, PPP Co-Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said it has not launched a single programme for the welfare of the poor people and creation of jobs for the unemployed youth of country.
PML-N government is wasting country's resources on 'senseless' projects like colourful bus schemes Sasti Roti , Danish schools which cannot help the poor in any way, he added.
Speaking at the mass marriage ceremony at the Bilawal House here on Sunday Bilawal said the government is focused only on extending its rule and nepotism was displayed in all the major projects.
He said the PNL-N leaders have only appeased their friends with projects like 'Sasti Roti' .The resources should have been channelled towards projects which could help overcome the problem of unemployment in the country.
Bilawal also recalled the projects started by PPP government and said these projects were aimed at empowering the people of Pakistan yet the current government is initiating the same PPP projects under their new banner.
Terming bread, clothing, shelter, health and education as fundamental human necessities, the PPP Chairman said the government oblivious to poor peoples needs; it has never taken into account as to how sharply the prices and unemployment have gone up over time.
Bilawal also took exception to the government for 'imposing' huge burden of Rs 40 billion taxes on the masses without approval of the Parliament.
He said the government has also not been fair to the farmers as it was importing substandard wheat. The 'Kissan Package' introduced by the incumbent government has sparked protests.
The combined marriage ceremony was also attended by Bilawal's sisters Bakhtawar and Asifa and several political figures attended the function.
They included Aitzaz Ahsan, Latif Khosa, Jahangir Badar Nadeem Afzal Chan, as well as Jamaat-e-Islami and other party leaders. .
As many as 50 couples are tied the knot in the mass wedding ceremony. The couples belonged to different districts of Punjab.
