Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) in collaboration with Pakistan Railways and Sehrai Tours organised a daylong safari train tour from Peshawar to Attock Khurd and the adjacent historical sites in commemoration with Allama Iqbal Day. The tour was thoroughly enjoyed by over 70 students from different schools of Peshawar. The train began its journey from Cantt Railway Station towards Attock Khurd.
While reaching Attock Khurd, the students accompanied by their teachers were briefed about the historical significance of the Railway Bridge and station along with other historical sites. The students were provided lunch boxes along with refreshments also by TCKP. The tour was in connection with a unique scheme that is planned by the Tourism department for six months to attract more tourists to the unique and joyful excursion.

The train tour in December has been arranged to mark Quaid-e-Azam Day, January 2016 as New Year Celebration, February 5, 2016 as Kashmir Day, March 23, 2016 as Pakistan Day and in April as Spring Festival. According to this innovative plan, departure dates will be fixed in the first week of the month.
