ATC hands over fake colonel, accomplices to police

An Anti Terrorism Court on Monday handed over a fake colonel and his two accomplices to police on two-day physical remand. Frere Police produced a fake Ranger Colonel Muhammad Khan Lakho and his two accomplices Waseem and Aamir before the court. Investigation Officer (IO) requested the court to grant physical remand of suspects as they are wanted for interrogation for their alleged involvement in demanding Rs 10 million as extortion and receiving Rs 3m from a citizen in the name of paramilitary force.
The court accepted the request and handed over suspects to police on two-day physical remand. Police sources said, fake Colonel and his accomplices had demanded Rs 10million extortion from a citizen and received Rs 3mn in the name of paramilitary force.
