President Mamnoon Hussain on Friday strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the Badaber air force base camp in Peshawar. The president expressed profound grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of Namazis offering prayers at a mosque inside the air force camp in the terrorist attack. He also expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of Captain Asfandyar.
The president emphasised that the nation, government and the armed forces are committed to eliminate the menace of militancy and terrorism from the country. He said that the cowardly attack cannot deter the resolve of the nation. The president stated that the whole nation is united and anti-state elements cannot succeed in their hideous agendas. He lauded the sacrifices and valour of armed forces of the country and said that the whole nation stands by our brave soldiers and Jawans who are standing up and foiling the heinous designs of terrorist elements.
The president reiterated the resolve that the fight against terrorism would continue till its logical conclusion and emphasised that the terrorists and their facilitators would soon be wiped out. The president commiserated with the bereaved families and prayed that they bear their loss with courage and fortitude. He prayed for the salvation of the departed souls.
