Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Human Rights Imtiaz Shahid Qureshi Advocate has said the PTI Provincial government would take every step to safeguards rights of minorities in the Province. This he said while talking to members of a delegation of South Asia Partnership Pakistan (SAPP) which called on him at his office in Peshawar on Friday. The delegation headed by Nusrat Ara, Co-ordinator Peshawar Chapter SAPP included Shamim Shahid, Rahmat Khan and others.
The Minister told members of the delegation that his government would strongly support the draft proposal submitted by SAPP for enactment of a standing commission to safeguard rights of minorities in the Province. Imtiaz Shahid Qureshi Advocate said the government would try its level best to pass the proposed law from the Assembly and put it into practice. He also told the delegation that the PTI government would efforts to ensure implementation of employment quota set for minorities and added that hate words would also be excluded from the curriculum.
