ST, FED returns: deadline extended to August 21

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the date of submission of Sales Tax and Federal Excise return up to 21st August 2015 for the tax period July, 2015 for all registered persons. The extension has been granted under section 74 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990 and Section 43 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005. However, it is clarified that there will be no change in the date of payment of Sales Tax & FED dues for July 2015, which already stands extended to 17th August, 2015 by virtue of Section 10 of the General Clauses Act, 1897.
