The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani has decided to observe Sifwat Ghayour martyrdom day ie 4th August as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police Yum-e-Shuhadda day every year. Additional IGP Head Quarters Mian Muhammad Asif has been made as Focal Person for celebrating various functions in this regard in well organized manner.
The 1st meeting of the organizing committee of Yum-e-Shuhadda police was held at Police Lines Peshawar today under the chairmanship of Additional IGP Headquarters Mian Muhammad Asif. DIG Investigation Headquarters Dr Masood Saleem, DIG Investigation Hazara Muhammad Ali Baba Khel, DIG Headquarter Mubarak Zeb, Chief Capital City Police Ijaz Khan, DIG Training Muhammad Ali Gandapur, Commandant Elite Force Muhammad Alam Shinwari, DIG Traffic Zafar Ali Khan, SSP Traffic Wahid Mehmood, SP Headquarter Peshawar Ahsan Saifullah, SP Inquiry and Inspection Mian Naseeb Jan and SP FRP Mehmood Hussain attended the meeting.
In the meeting different sub committees were constituted for the arrangements of the event. All the officers will select suitable members of officers and form a committee under their command to make the arrangements in a befitting manner. Similarly, the committee will prepare their TORs, chalk out a work plan and ascertain the requirements for the given task. The organizing committee will daily meet to review the arrangements.
Different functions will be held on daily basis starting from 27th July. Speech competition at district level, Quran Khawani in every Police Lines Mosques on Friday will be held. The main function of the Yum-e-Shuhadda police will be held on 4th August at Police lines Peshawar. People from different strata of life, heirs of Shuhadda, Traders, Writers, Industrialists, Doctors Associations Lawyers and Journalists will be invited to these functions.
