Punjab Education Foundation has launched its new official website during a ceremony in a hotel. The foundation's IT Department has developed and launched the site. In a speech to audience, the foundation chairman said innovative features had been introduced in the new site, making it more responsive and user-friendly, so that school partners and other stakeholders could use it.
It has a modern layout with a dynamic content to serve visitors. We have also introduced a centralised complaint cell in it and public complaints could be redressed well," he added. The foundation has also developed and introduced an android mobile-based application entitled 'mujay school bhajain' (send me to school) through which people can send such needy children's data to the foundation to arrange their gratis in nearer partner schools. This software can be downloaded for free from the site.
The foundation is indeed a marvellous success which has inspired national and international community by arranging free schooling for needy children. Another worthwhile facet of this achievement is that we have been helping in women-empowerment by giving them opportunity to study freely. In fact, about half of our beneficiaries are females which provided a model according to our socio-economic circumstances," he said.
