The Supreme Court of Pakistan was informed on Tuesday that federal government was ready to hold Local Bodies (LB) polls in Islamabad as two ordinances were promulgated back in 2002 but notification were not issued in the matter. Appearing before a three-member bench of Justice Jawwad S Khawaja, deputy Attorney General Aamir Rehman submitted a report in pursuance of the court's earlier directives, saying that without issuance of notification the LB polls' legality would be in question.
Adjourning the hearing of the matter relating to the LB polls in Islamabad, the bench asked again to the federation to submit report about the LB polls in Islamabad on July 08 (today).
