Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for Local Government & Rural Development LG&RD) Inayatullah Khan called on PESCO PESCO Fazil Hasan at WAPDA House Peshawar on Monday and apprised him of the concerns of the people in respect of unscheduled and prolong load shedding in Malakand Division especially in Dir District.
Inayatullah made it clear to PESCO Chief that like Hazara Division, the consumers in Malakand Division also regularly pay electricity bills and no cases of power theft are reported there but load shedding of long duration and voltage fluctuations have become routine matter that must be checked properly, he added. The Senior Minister asked for drastic decrease in load shedding in Malakand Division. He also directed to complete all ongoing electricity distribution schemes in-time as well as expediting work on Chakdara Grid Station.
PESCO Chief assured the Senior Minister that load shedding in Malakand would be reduced to minimal level. Similarly, he assured for expediting work on Chakdara Grid Station and all other power supply schemes in the area to provide prompt relief to the consumers.
