The Ministry of Interior on Wednesday extended the deployment of Pakistan army in the federal capital for another month in the wake terror attack threats. Sources said that following the request of Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Ministry of Interior further extended the deployment of Pakistan army. The decision to deploy army in the federal capital was taken by federal government under article 245 of the constitution in August, 2014 to help civilian law enforcement agencies in case of any threat to any law and order, they said.
They said that following the decision of the government five companies of the army had been deployed in different parts of the capital city to secure Parliament House, Presidency, foreign missions and other important installations.
