Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao has said that if provincial government was sincere in efforts to ease opposition's concerns over alleged rigging and mismanagement in local government elections in the upcoming All Parties Conference (APC) then it should have to stop announcing polls' results forthwith.
In a statement issued from QWP Secretariat, Watan Kor, on Monday, he said that on one hand the ruling party was beating the drum of convening APC on alleged rigging and mismanagement in order to take other political leaders on board while on the other hand its lawmakers and party's officeholders were striving hard to make alliances with the wining candidates. "The ruling party should have to avoid playing dual role and stop notification of winning candidates immediately until justifying the reservations of the opposition parties," Sherpao expressed.
