Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police has rounded up 340 suspects and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunitions in the ongoing search and strike operation being conducted under national action plan (NAP) throughout the province. During the operation conducted in different parts of the province, the police recovered 16 arms and ammunition of different kind and 276 rounds of different bore while 752 houses and 221 hotels were checked and 05 cases were registered against the violators.
Similarly, during snap checking on 147 check points, 292 suspects were held and recovered 08 Arms of different kind and 177 cartridges of different bore. Furthermore in action against illegal Afghans a total of 15 persons were detained on violation and 0 cases were registered against them while 02 persons were arrested on illegal use of loudspeakers and 02 loudspeakers were confiscated. Two cases were registered against the violators. Similarly, 51 bus addas, 09 Cinema house and 210 sensitive places were also checked. Security inspections of 778 educational institutions were also carried out and various institutions were advised to further beef up security arrangements.
