On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX) value traded was PKR 3.08 billion as compared to PKR 2.08 billion reported on Thursday, an increase of 49 percent. The number of lots traded also increased by 42 percent to 12,999 from 9,129. PMEX Commodity Index increased by 0.43 percent and closed at 2,714. Major business was contributed by crude oil amounting to PKR 1.86 billion, a 23 percent increase when compared to the previous trading day. This was followed by gold (PKR 1.17 billion) and silver (PKR 52 million).
