SSP Hyderabad Pir Farid Jan Sarhandi called a meeting of notables and religious leaders belonging to various sects in his office which was chaired by him and attended among others by former mayor and chairman of Anjuman Hussaini Mirza Ashiq Hussain Beg, Maulana Muharamdin Qadri, Muhammad Imran Soharwardy, Ghazi Salahuddin, Mian Muhammad Abid Dehlvi, Ehsan Nagar, Mustafa Ali Hydri, Raza Irani, advocate Muhammad Aslam Samoo, Sadiq Hazarvi, leaders of various schools of thought, elite of city and others.
Addressing the meeting SSP Hyderabad said all religious events happen to be peaceful due to your co-operation. He said it was his duty to maintain peace in city not only on religious days but on all days of the year. He said during Muharram the code of ethics would be implemented and there would not be any compromise on it. He said action will be taken against distribution of hate literature and provocative speeches. He said police will be deployed on exit and entry points of city with installation of video cameras.
He said action will also be taken against cable operators for running hatred program on cable. He said first meeting has been held with you so fool proof arrangements could be made in consultation with you. He said leaves in police department have been cancelled and strict vigilance with hidden cameras will be adopted during the month so to ensure complete peace and harmony in the city.
