Dismissing all the rumours of Mohammad Amir’s fitness concerns, Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed has said that the pacer is fine and is fit to play.

Speaking to the media ahead of first Twenty 20 against Scotland, the skipper congratulated Scotland Cricket as they managed to beat England in the only One Day International (ODI).

“First of all congratulations to Scotland Cricket as it was a great day for them,” he said, while referring to their victory against England. “It is good for Scotland if they play better quality teams as that will help them get better.”

He further said they the Pakistan team aren't taking the Scotland games lightly, regardless of the result of their game against England. Giving an example of the outcome of Afghanistan and Bangladesh series, he said,

“T20I cricket is not easy, as we saw Afghanistan defeat Bangladesh 3-0. Regardless of being number one or eight side in the world, we have to play well on the day in T20Is to win the game,” the 31-year-old said.

When Sarfraz was asked about International Cricket Council’s (ICC) decision to include 10 teams in the World Cup, he said, “It is not my domain to talk about policies of the ICC, but with 10 teams like in 1992 World Cup, there will be more opportunities for each team as they will play nine games each”.
