KARACHI: Pakistan State Oil (PSO), in continuation of its quest to improve the quality of fuels in the country, has upgraded its products portfolio with the inclusion of the RON 97 high octane petrol under brand name Altron X Hi-Octane 97.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Sheikh Imran-ul-Haque mentioning PSO as the country's flagship oil marketing company said it has not only contributed in improving fuel quality but is also meeting the nation's energy requirements.
"PSO pledges to undertake initiatives that enhance our consumers' fuelling experience and ensure nationwide availability of all its products," he said.
With regard to the RON 97 category of fuel, he said it has delivered superior performance to vehicles for a smooth and knock-free drive besides extending engine life and reduced maintenance costs.
As they result in better engine hygiene, the new RON 97 from PSO reduces the environmental impact due to lower emissions, he added.
PSO was further claimed to have played a key role in materializing the vision of the government and Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources (MNPR) by introducing higher grade RON fuels in the country.
