Karachi: Telecoms giant PTCL hosted an Iftar dinner on Friday for members of the media industry. The event was attended by leading journalists as well as members of the media fraternity.

Speaking exclusively to Business Recorder, Fariha Tahir Shah, Head of Corporate Communications for PTCL said, “PTCL has launched a learning intervention 'Building Culture of Service Excellence' across Pakistan to focus on providing the best in-class customer service."

The initiative is in line with PTCL’s firm belief that service is the essence of its contributions to society. PTCL's mantra is 'the customer comes first'. "

"Everything can be done using the 1218 helpline, and we are constantly trying to better our services," Fariha said. Sharing a bit from her personal experience as communications head she said, "Despite being busy I leave everything behind and pick up the call if it’s about the customer. Even our Chief Commercial Officer is known to make random calls to provide a check and balances system."

The training initiative will kick-off in all twelve training centers across the nation, which includes centers in: Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Haripur, Multan, Faisalabad, D.I Khan and Swat.
