Leg spinner Rashid Khan is unarguably the biggest name to come out from Afghanistan in the cricketing world. Khan, who has become the go to bowler in the game’s shortest format, revealed that he is still learning from Pakistan all rounder Shahid Afridi.

“I have watched a lot of Afridi and Anil Kumble because both of them were quick in the air and were accurate. I still watch some of their videos,” stated the leggie, quoted ESPNcricinfo.

Khan has been a major contributor for his side the Hyderabad Sunrisers in the ongoing Indian Premier League, grabbing 13 wickets off 10 matches. The Sunrisers currently tops the table with 16 points, including eight wins in 10 matches.

Earlier, Khan revealed that he cited star all-rounder Afridi as his role model while growing up. “I was a huge fan of Afridi growing up. He was from the tribal area that stretches across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. I watched him, studied him. I loved his enthusiasm, the way he attacked the batsman. I knew that had to be my attitude if I wanted to be successful,” said Khan, quoted Cricingif.

Meanwhile, Afridi is traveling around the world these days promoting cricket and his causes. Days ago, the former Pakistan captain launched a cricket club in his name in Toronto, Canada.
