Deepika Padukone makes it to Time’s 100 most influential list

Bollywood top actress Deepika Padukone has featured in Time’s 100 most influential people list for this year, making her the only Bollywood actress to be in list for 2018.

Each year the US magazine Time gives out a list of 100 most influential people around the globe for different categories including artists, pioneers and leaders. From Bollywood this year, Deepika was the only actress to find a spot in the list owing to her talent and immense popularity in both Hollywood and Bollywood.

Deepika’s fellow co-star Vin Diesel wrote on Deepika’s profile praising the actress not only for her acting abilities but for her overall persona. “Deepika is the best Earth has to offer. She’s not just here to represent India; she’s here to represent the world.”

The Time 100 for this year includes big names such as President Donald Trump, Gal Gadot, Rihanna, Hugh Jackman, Virat Kohli, Nicole Kidman and Prince Harry to name a few. The list also includes London’s first Muslim Mayor Sadiq Khan and Pakistani-American comedian Kumail Nanjiani also made it to the list.

On the work front, the actress received high praise for her outstanding performance in her last period film ‘Padmaavat’, which also stars her rumored beau Ranveer Singh.
