Bahrain FM lauds Pakistan's role in Islamabad MoU

Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani on Sunday congratulated Pakistan on the signing of the “Islamabad MoU,” praising Islamabad’s constructive role in facilitating the understanding and expressing hope that it would help bring lasting peace and stability to the region.
According to the Foreign Office, Al Zayani conveyed the remarks during a telephone conversation with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar.
The two foreign ministers discussed the evolving regional situation following the signing of the Islamabad MoU.
During the conversation, Al Zayani said he would visit Pakistan in the near future to personally thank Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir for their efforts in helping achieve the ceasefire.
Dar thanked his Bahraini counterpart for his sentiments and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting dialogue and diplomacy to advance peace and stability in the region and beyond, the Foreign Office said.
