JEDDAH: Former prime minister and leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Nawaz Sharif, arrived in Saudi Arabia on a private visit after travelling from Geneva.

Upon his arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Nawaz Sharif was received by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmad Farooq, the Consul General, and officials of the PML-N.

During his visit, Nawaz Sharif performed Umrah and offered prayers at Islam’s holiest site, Masjid al-Haram.

According to party sources, the former prime minister is also expected to visit Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, pay his respects at Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH), and offer Friday prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque.
