ISLAMABAD: China, Russia, Iran, and Azerbaijan strongly condemned the deadly terrorist attack near Quetta Railway Station and Chaman Phatak in Balochistan, expressing solidarity with Pakistan and condolences to the victims’ families.
In separate statements issued on Sunday, the four countries denounced the attack as an act of terrorism and reaffirmed support for Pakistan’s efforts to combat militancy and protect civilians.
The Embassy of China in Pakistan said it “strongly condemns” the terrorist attack near Chaman Phatak in Quetta and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives.
The Chinese embassy conveyed heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
“We firmly oppose all forms of terrorism and will, as always, continue to strongly support Pakistan in combating terrorism and safeguarding the safety of its people,” the embassy said, adding that China stood firmly with the people of Pakistan during the difficult time.
The Embassy of Russia in Pakistan also condemned the attack near Quetta Railway Station. It said it hoped those responsible for planning the assault would be identified and brought to justice.
The Russian embassy extended condolences to the families and friends of the victims and expressed best wishes for the recovery of those injured in the blast.
Meanwhile, Reza Amiri Moghadam, in a statement posted on X, strongly condemned what he described as a “cowardly and horrific suicide terrorist
attack” at Quetta Railway Station.
The Iranian envoy said more than 20 innocent civilians had lost their lives in the attack and termed terrorism in all its forms a condemnable act worldwide.
He said attacks on civilian transport infrastructure, which play a vital role in human development, passenger movement, and trade, amounted to crimes against humanity.
Separately, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan condemned the terrorist attack on the train in Quetta and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives.
The Azerbaijani foreign ministry offered condolences to the affected families, wished a speedy recovery to the injured and said Azerbaijan stood with the government and people of Pakistan in the difficult time.
“Terrorism is unacceptable in any form and must be rejected everywhere,” the ministry said.
