LAHORE: The HBL-Pakistan Super League-11 has entered the business end of the tournament with Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, Multan Sultans and Hyderabad Kingsmen qualifying for the Playoffs.

Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United will face off in the Qualifier at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on Tuesday (today).

Multan Sultans, who shelled the chance to play the Qualifier by losing to United by four wickets in last league match, will now face Hyderabad Kingsmen in the Eliminator 1 on Wednesday (April 29) at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

The second Eliminator is scheduled for 1 May, while the final of the tournament will be played on 3rd May with spectators allowed in the tournament for the first time.

Defending champions Lahore Qalandars and 2020 HBL PSL winners Karachi Kings both finished with 10 points – equal to Hyderabad Kingsmen – but failed to make it to the top four due to less net run rate.

Peshawar Zalmi’s duo of Kusal Mendis and Babar Azam are still ruling the runs-scoring charts with 500 and 485 runs, respectively. On the bowling front, Sufyan Moqim is the leading wicket-taker with 19 scalps to his name followed by Shaheen Shah Afridi (16).

Monday (April 27) was a rest day in HBL PSL with Hyderabad Kingsmen and Multan Sultans travelling to Lahore.
