KARACHI: The Karachi port trust handled 112,127 tonnes of cargo comprising 89,033 tonnes of import cargo and 23,094 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hour, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 89,033 tonnes comprised of 11,350 tonnes of containerized cargo, 11,833 tonnes of b Bulk cargo, 1,041 tonnes of ammonium sulphate, 5,153 tonnes of canola, 2,015 tonnes of chickpeas, 4,576 tonnes of soya bean seeds & 52,065 tonnes of liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 23,094 tonnes comprised of 22,679 tonnes of containerized cargo, 366 tonnes of b bulk cargo & 49 tonnes of rice.
Approximately, 08 ships namely, Adonis, p. Aliki, tug kingfisher, sand carrier 106, marine ista, bhudthibhum, bow faith, & mt Lahore Fatimah berthed at the Karachi port trust.
Around, 06 namely, MT Shalamar, Eslkabir, Cosco New York, kmtcnhavasheva, Glory bridge, & Adonis sailed from the Karachi port trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of seven ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, Westerly and Chem Silicon left the port on Wednesday morning.
Cargo volume of 109,856 tones comprising 58,365 tones imports cargo and 51,491 export cargo carried in 2,428 Containers (38 TEUs Imports & 2,930 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 08 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them a edible oil carrier ‘Solar Catic’ & another containers ship ‘CMA CGM Ganges’ carrying Palm oil and Container expected to take berth at LCT and QICT on Wednesday 1stApril, 2026.
