KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 125,417 tonnes of cargo comprising 76,746 tonnes of import cargo and 48,471 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 76,946 tonnes comprised of25,509Tons of Containerized Cargo, 1,187 tonnes of Ammonium Sulphate & 50,250 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 48,471 tonnes comprised of 44,055 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 160 tonnes of Clinkers, & 4,256 tonnes of Loose Bulk Cement.
Around, 09 ships namely, Artemis, Tug Oceanus, Montok, Maple Castor, Wan Hai 515, Ever Lucent, Ym Express, Melbourne Bridge, & Rostrum Hamburg berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 06 ships namely, Stolt Beluga, Hmm Oakland, Cma Cgm Centaurus, Wan Hai 626, & Grace Bali, sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of eight ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a containers ship ‘Spirit of Bertram’ left the port on Wednesday morning, while two more ships, Al-Saad and Suvari Bay are expected to sail on Wednesday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 107,255 tones comprising 86,974 tones imports cargo and 20,281 export cargo carried in 4,045 Containers (3,212 TEUs Imports & 833 TEUs Export)was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 10 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them two ships, Meghna Princess and Vimc Bright & another ship ‘DP World Chennai’ carrying Coal and Container expected to take berth at PQEPT, PIBT and QICT on Wednesday 25th March, 2026.
