KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 78,853 tonnes of cargo comprising 55,796 tonnes of import cargo and 23,057 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 55,796 tonnes comprised of 35,984 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 10,943 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 6,169 tonnes of Soya Bean Seeds & 2,700 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 23,057 tonnes comprised of 3,724 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 80 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 10,298 tonnes of Clinkers, 3,855 tonnes of Rice, & 5,100 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Around, 05 ships, namely, Port Osaka, Maritime Comity, Zhong Kun 611, Hmm Promise & Aquavita Soul berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 03 ships namely, Marine Ista, Tb Fengze & Oocl Dalian sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a container ship ‘RDO Endeavour’ left the port on Tuesday morning, while three more ships, Eleni-T, Sakura Fortune and Torm Damini are expected to sail on Tuesday.
Cargo volume of 160,946 tonnes, comprising 97,071 tonnes imports cargo and 63,875 export cargo carried in 5,216 Containers (1,572 TEUs Imports & 3,644 TEUs Export)was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 11 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them two ships, New Momentum and Nave Atropos & another ship ‘Spirit of Bertram’ carrying Steel coil, Gasoline and Container expected to take berth at MW-2, FOTCO and QICT on Tuesday 10th March, 2026.
