Gold per tola gains Rs13,300 in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Monday in line with their gain in the international market. In the local market, gold price per tola reached Rs563,862 after a gain of Rs13,300 during the day.

Similarly, 10-gram gold was sold at Rs483,420 after it increased by Rs11,402, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

On Saturday, gold price per tola reached Rs550,562 after a gain of Rs10,000 during the day.

The international rate of gold was up by $133 to reach $5,411 per ounce (with a premium of $20).

Meanwhile, the price of silver increased by Rs188 to reach Rs10,050 per tola.

Furthermore, international gold prices rose on Monday after the US and Israel launched major strikes on Iran, killing Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, escalating geopolitical tensions and deepening global economic uncertainty.

Spot gold was up 1.37% at $5,349.44 an ounce, as of 0439 GMT, after hitting its highest point in more than four weeks. Earlier in the session, bullion prices climbed as much as 2%.
