LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Punjab, Azma Bokhari, has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the recent attack on Iran and the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei. She stated that the incident is deeply concerning not only for Iran but also for peace and stability across the entire region.
In her statement, Azma Bokhari said that Pakistan shares in the grief of the Iranian people during this difficult time and stands firmly by their side. She emphasised that Pakistan has supported Iran at every possible diplomatic and moral level and has strongly condemned the attack against Iran at international platforms, including the United Nations.
The minister further stated that in the current sensitive situation, it is the responsibility of Pakistan’s religious and political parties, as well as the general public, to demonstrate patience and restraint. She warned that if internal protests turn violent or if the law is taken into one’s own hands, it could strengthen the designs of hostile elements.
She stressed that everyone must control their emotions and ensure that all protests remain completely peaceful to prevent any unrest or damage within the country.
Azma Bokhari concluded by stating that national unity, solidarity, and stability are Pakistan’s true strengths at this critical time, and all citizens must prioritise the country’s interests above all else.
