KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 366,467 tonnes of cargo comprising 205,243 tonnes of import cargo and 161,224 tonnes of export cargo during last 48 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 205,243 tonnes comprised of 113,716 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 13,074 tonnes of Canola, 12,388 tonnes of Soya Bean Seeds & 66,065 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of161,224 tonnes comprised of 80,576 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 916 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 3,216 tonnes of Cement, 73,266 tonnes of Clinkers & 3,250 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Around, 05 ships namely, Eleni T, Asana, Kmtc Colombo, Portland & X-Press Phoenix berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 07 ships namely, Stolt Acer, Marine Ista, GslGrania, Portland Ii, Cma Cgm Cassiopeia & Eleni T sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of six ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a edible oil carrier ‘Lyng Trader’ left the port on Monday morning.
Cargo volume of 103,437 tonnes, comprising 103,437 tonnes imports cargo and0 export cargo was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 10 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them a edible oil carrier ‘Maritime Comity’ & another ship ‘Eleni-T’ with Palm oil and Container expected to take berth at LCT and QICT on Monday 23th February, 2026.
