ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi received a call from Italian Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi and European Commissioner Magnus Brunner.
The Italian Interior Minister and the European Commissioner condemned the suicide bombing in Islamabad and expressed heartfelt sorrow over the loss of lives in the terrorist attack.
The Italian Interior Minister said he was deeply saddened upon hearing the news of the tragic incident. On behalf of the Italian government and himself, he extended sincere condolences to the victims and stated that Italy stands with the families of those who lost their lives and with the people of Pakistan during this difficult time.
He reiterated that Italy strongly condemns terrorism in all its forms and is ready to continue cooperation to counter the shared threat of terrorism.
The European Commissioner said that their prayers are with the victims and their families and they stand with the people of Pakistan in this hour of grief.
